Medline Basic Nerve Block Tray recalled for potential sterility compromise
Stop using Medline nerve block trays
Medline Industries recalled its Basic Nerve Block Tray with Linen (Model PAIN0150C) because equipment used to sterilize and package the devices had calibration problems. While the products went through sterilization cycles, the calibration issues may have reduced the sterility assurance of these medical trays.
- Stop using affected trays immediately if you have Model PAIN0150C, Lot 21JBV886
- Contact your Medline representative or the FDA with questions about your specific lot
- Do not use these trays for patient care until you confirm your lot is not affected
Medline has identified issues related to calibration of the equipment used to sterilize and package the devices. All products were exposed to the validated sterilization and packaging cycles; however, the identified calibration issues have the potential to impact the sterility assurance level (SAL) of the Recalled Products.
