GE Centricity Universal Viewer software recalled for login credential exposure vulnerability
Update GE Centricity Universal Viewer software
Certain versions of GE Centricity Universal Viewer software (versions 7.0 through 7.0 Sp2.0.1) contain a cybersecurity vulnerability that may expose user login credentials on workstations. An unauthorized person could potentially access the system and disrupt service or alter medical image data.
- Contact GE Medical Systems support or your IT department to determine if your facility uses affected software versions
- Request and apply the security patch or software update provided by GE
- Review system access logs for any unauthorized activity
There is a potential cybersecurity vulnerability affecting certain versions of Centricity Universal Viewer. User login credentials may be exposed on the local client workstation, which could allow an unauthorized individual to potentially impact system availability and/or manipulate data.
