Forest River transit buses recalled over loose steering caster bolt
Forest River Bus, LLC is recalling about 490 transit buses because the steering caster bushing bolt may have been improperly tightened and could come loose. A loose bolt can cause a loss of steering ability and increase the risk of a crash. No injuries have been reported.

- Contact a Forest River dealer to have the steering caster bolt inspected and tightened if needed, at no cost.
- Call Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440 with questions, referencing recall number 05-2110.
- Watch for an owner notification letter, which is expected to be mailed December 21, 2026.

- Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain transit buses. Please see above for a complete list of makes and models. The steering caster bushing may have been improperly tightened allowing the bolt to come loose. A loose caster bolt can cause a loss of steering ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Hazard
- A loose caster bolt can cause a loss of steering ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect and properly tighten the bolt as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 21, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River's number for this recall is 05-2110.
