- HeartMate LVAD controllers recalled for backup battery corrosion
Thoratec, a HeartMate company, is recalling four HeartMate heart pump system products because the backup battery cable connector may corrode. This can trigger a Backup Battery Fault alarm. No injuries have been reported.
