Baby and kids' product recalls

The lighters do not have child-resistant mechanisms, as required by federal law. Young children could ignite the lighters, presenting fire and burn hazards.

The problem with the RANGER vehicles and UTVs involves the swing arm, which is part of the rear suspension. During operation of the vehicle, the pivot bolts of the swing arm can loosen and fall out. If this happens, the swing arm can become partially disconnected from the frame. This can result in the vehicle losing power, because the drivetrain connection to the wheels is no longer maintained. If this were to occur, the loss of power and resulting swing arm disorientation could cause the operator to lose control of the vehicle, resulting in injury to the operator.

Pins in the rear of the box, that connect to the power cord, could break, which could pose an electric shock hazard to consumers.

The wooden peg can come off of the Star Clacker toy and pose a choking hazard. The Ride-On Duck's wheel cap can break, allowing the wheel to come off and release small parts, also presenting a choking hazard to young children. The Star Clacker wooden toys, also do not comply with the Federal Hazardous Substance Act for design and construction of baby rattles, due to the handle length.

A child can pull the horn from the steering wheel, and a small part inside poses a choking hazard to young children.

The plastic windows on the "see-inside" sorting blocks can break, causing the beads inside to be released. This presents a choking hazard to children.

The dog puzzle included with both of these products and the rubber handle on the box of the activity set can tear apart into small pieces and pose a choking hazard to small children.

The eyes on the pull toy can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

IF THE CHILD IS NOT PROPERLY BUCKLED INTO THE SEAT, THE CHILD CAN FALL OUT IF THE CARRIER, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN INJURIES.

The bean bags contain small polystyrene beads that present suffocation and strangulation hazards to young children who may inhale the small beads. The recalled bean bag chairs have zippers that were not properly sealed to prevent young children from opening the bean bag chairs and being exposed to the small beads.

The rattle may break, causing small beads to fall out, which presents a potential choking hazard to young children.
