Philips Azurion 7 M12 medical systems recalled over unapproved SSDs
What this means
Philips is recalling certain Azurion 7 M12 medical imaging systems (model numbers 722078 and 722223) because non-specified solid-state drives may have been installed in the PCs that run them. These drives may perform differently and become less reliable over time, which could cause loss of imaging, a blank or black display, or trouble storing or viewing images. No injuries have been reported.
- Contact your Philips service representative or the facility that operates this equipment for next steps.
- Do not make changes to the device yourself; wait for Philips to confirm the fix.
The agency's original wording

These SSDs may have different performance characteristics, which may include reduced reliability over time such as loss of imaging functionality or motorized movement, a blank or black display, and/or the inability to store newly acquired images or access previously acquired images.
