Medline medical kits recalled for potentially open BD ChloraPrep swabstick packaging
Check your Medline dressing change or central line kit
Medline is recalling two medical convenience kits that contain BD ChloraPrep Triple Swabsticks with potentially open or compromised packaging seals. The affected kits are the POWERGLIDE DRESSING CHANGE KIT (SKU DYNDH1576, Lot 25EBP737) and CENTRAL LINE TRAY W/ CHLRP SWB (SKU RWM-DC57KC, Lot 25EBE082). An open seal could allow the sterile applicator to become contaminated.
- Check if you have either recalled kit by looking for the SKU and lot numbers listed above
- Do not use swabsticks from an open or visibly damaged applicator package
- Contact your supplier or Medline for a replacement kit if you have one of the affected lots
- Contact Medline or the FDA if you have questions about whether your kit is affected
Medline Industries, LP is issuing a recall for specific items and lots of Medline Kits containing BD ChloraPrep Triple Swabsticks which BD determined may exhibit an open seal on the packaging of the applicators.
