Avanos MIC Safety PEG Kit recalled for defective lidocaine

Avanos Medical included lidocaine hydrochloride injections with quality issues in their MIC Safety Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) kits. The lidocaine was subject to a supplier recall for quality defects. Approximately 1,006 kits were distributed nationwide.

  • Check if you have an Avanos MIC Safety PEG Kit 24 Fr with lot numbers 30371316, 30377829, or 80403341.
  • Contact Avanos Medical or your healthcare provider for instructions on what to do with the affected kit.
  • Do not use the kit until you have guidance from your provider or Avanos.
