Avanos Medical included lidocaine hydrochloride injections with quality issues in their MIC Safety Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) kits. The lidocaine was subject to a supplier recall for quality defects. Approximately 1,006 kits were distributed nationwide.
- Check if you have an Avanos MIC Safety PEG Kit 24 Fr with lot numbers 30371316, 30377829, or 80403341.
- Contact Avanos Medical or your healthcare provider for instructions on what to do with the affected kit.
- Do not use the kit until you have guidance from your provider or Avanos.
