Avanos MIC Safety PEG Kit recalled for defective lidocaine
Avanos Medical included lidocaine hydrochloride injections with quality issues in their MIC Safety Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) kits. The lidocaine was subject to a supplier recall for quality defects. About 1,205 kits across the US were affected.
- Check if you have an Avanos MIC Safety PEG Kit with model 8180-24 and one of these lot numbers: 30371319, 30374055, 30383058, or 30386936.
- Do not use the lidocaine injection included in the kit.
- Contact your healthcare provider or Avanos Medical for instructions on obtaining a replacement or alternative lidocaine source.

Lidocaine hydrochloride injection, the subject of a supplier recall for quality issues, were included into sterile kits and sets.
