2024–2026 Range Rover Sport recalled for rear subframe crack risk
What this means
Certain 2024–2026 Range Rover Sport vehicles may develop cracks in the rear subframe. A cracked subframe can reduce structural integrity and handling, which increases the risk of injury in a crash or loss of control while driving.
- Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) against the recall list at NHTSA.gov or contact Land Rover customer service at 1–800–637–6837.
- Do not drive the vehicle if you notice reduced handling or control.
- Dealers will inspect and replace the rear subframe free of charge. You will receive a notification letter by November 20, 2026, with instructions on scheduling service.
The agency's original wording
A cracked subframe may have reduced structural integrity, increasing the risk of injury during a crash. A crack may also diminish handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the rear subframe as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed November 20, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D165 and D166.
