Prime Line Distributors and Ferrarini USA guanciale recalled for Listeria contamination
What this means
Prime Line Distributors and Ferrarini USA are recalling imported ready-to-eat pork guanciale (cured pork jowl) products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The products were produced in Italy in May 2026 and imported to the U.S. in July 2026. The contamination was discovered during routine testing; no illnesses have been reported.
- Do not eat these products if you have them at home.
- Throw away the recalled guanciale or return it to the store.

- Seek medical care if you experience fever, muscle aches, or headache within two months of eating this product, especially if pregnant, elderly, or immunocompromised.
