The passenger-side brake cable on certain Yamaha Drive2 Electric Fleet Golf Cars (model years 2021–2022) may have been installed incorrectly during manufacturing. This misrouting can cause the cable to wear abnormally and break during use, which could cause a loss of braking control and serious injury or death.

Yamaha golf car vehicles from 2021–2025 were manufactured without stop lights, which increases the risk of rear-end collisions and serious injury. About 19,300 vehicles are affected. No injuries have been reported yet.

Yamaha golf cars from model years 2017–2024 can fail to brake, which poses a serious risk of injury or death. The affected vehicles are DR2A and DR2E models with serial numbers beginning with J0D, J0E, or J2D. About 4,300 vehicles are involved.
