Great Value Fat Free Cottage Cheese recalled for potential under-pasteurization
Stop using Great Value cottage cheese
Saputo Cheese USA is recalling Great Value Fat Free Cottage Cheese (24 oz tubs) because a broken seal on the pasteurizer may have allowed the product to be under-pasteurized. Under-pasteurized dairy products can contain harmful bacteria. The affected products were distributed to Walmart stores in 11 states.
- Check your refrigerator for Great Value Fat Free Cottage Cheese with Best If Used By dates of APR-01-26 or APR-03-26 and Lot #06-71.
- Do not eat the product. Throw it away or return it to Walmart for a refund.
- If you or a family member consumed this product and develop symptoms like diarrhea, fever, or abdominal pain, contact your doctor.
Hazard
Potentially under pasteurized. The firm was notified by the California Department of Agriculture that due to the broken seal on the pasteurizer, the products may be under pasteurized, and they should recall the products.
