Some of the ATVs were assembled with a wire harness that may have broken ground wire strands from an improperly crimped wire splice. Broken ground wire strands could result in electrical open circuits. An electrical open circuit could prevent the tail/stop lamp from illuminating or could cause the CDI-unit of the ignition to not function. If the CDI-unit does not function, the engine will stop running, possibly leaving the rider stranded away from his or her base of operation.

In addition, there was a casting flaw in the aluminum housing on the front suspension. This could cause the front wheel to come loose from the connection point, causing the rider to lose control of the vehicle.
