Quantum Rehab is recalling software on the Q6 Edge 2.0 powered wheelchair controller. If the "Remind Me Later" option is selected for user reminders, pop-up messages may appear while the wheelchair is in use. While driving, this may cause an unexpected park brake stop, which may result in a fall or injury. While not driving, the control system may crash and remain in pre-operational mode.

What to do

  1. Check whether your Q6 Edge 2.0 controller runs software version 2.0.11; the recall covers this version, and the new version is 2.0.13.
  2. Avoid selecting "Remind Me Later" for user reminders until the software is updated.
  3. Contact Quantum Rehab or Pride Mobility Products Corp. about the software update; the notice does not describe a remedy or how to get one.
