Asteria Health is recalling estradiol hormone pellets (10 mg) because they may contain metal particles. The affected pellets were distributed nationwide. No injuries have been reported so far.
- Check if you have an Asteria Health estradiol pellet with one of the recalled lot numbers (253000132, 253000139, 253000140, 253000150, 253000151, 253000161, or 253000162)
- Do not use the pellet if it matches a recalled lot
- Contact your doctor or the prescribing clinic immediately for guidance on your hormone therapy
- Return the recalled pellet to your pharmacy or healthcare provider
