Medline surgical kits recalled for adhesive tubing defect
Medline's plastic surgery convenience kits contain a recalled batch of Ferndale Laboratories MASTISOL Liquid Adhesive with a manufacturing defect. The adhesive's butyrate tubing may crack when used, making the product unable to function properly during surgery.
- Check your kit's lot number against the FDA notice to see if it's affected.
- Contact Medline or the FDA if you have one of the affected kits.
- Do not use affected kits in surgical procedures.
Hazard
Kits contain recalled lot of Ferndale Laboratories MASTISOL Liquid Adhesive. Butyrate tubing may crack during actuation and render product unusable for application.
