Medline surgical kits recalled for defective adhesive
Medline convenience kits containing a recalled lot of Ferndale Laboratories MASTISOL Liquid Adhesive are being recalled. The adhesive's butyrate tubing can crack during use, making the adhesive unusable in surgical settings. About 50,000 kits across multiple surgical types are affected.
- Check if your facility received one of the affected kit models and lot numbers listed in this recall.
- Do not use affected kits in surgical procedures.
- Contact Medline or your supplier for replacement or instructions on returning the kits.
Hazard
Kits contain recalled lot of Ferndale Laboratories MASTISOL Liquid Adhesive. Butyrate tubing may crack during actuation and render product unusable for application.
