Medline CVC insertion kits recalled for tubing failure
Medline convenience kits containing central venous catheter (CVC) insertion supplies include a recalled lot of adhesive that can cause the tubing to crack when used. This may render the kit unusable for the intended medical procedure. No injuries have been reported.
- Check if you have one of the affected kits (ECVC6805B, ECVC8055A, ECVC6915A, or ECVC6985B).
- Do not use kits from the affected lots listed in this recall.
- Contact Medline or your healthcare facility for replacement kits or instructions.
Hazard
Kits contain recalled lot of Ferndale Laboratories MASTISOL Liquid Adhesive. Butyrate tubing may crack during actuation and render product unusable for application.
