Pedego electric tricycles can develop hairline fractures in the frame near a weld, causing the tubes to separate. This poses a risk of falling off the trike and being cut. The company has received 16 reports of frame breakage, including one injury.

Additionally, the handlebars pose a laceration hazard, if the child rider's body or head impacts the handlebars at high speed. ATVs that fail to meet the mandatory safety requirements pose a risk of serious injury or death.
